N12-No.5 catalogue

spread N12-No.5 catalogue

'For three years we are doing the group-show catalogue for this group of artists. This time we wanted to do something very fashionable. The whole feeling is that of a glossy Hong Kong magazine. The way they do the staples on the side and cheap/chic paper.

If you give the cover to one artist, it's pretty unfair to the others. So the centerfold actually is the first page, the cover. There all artists are shown. Six on each side. They are printed on top of each other, since this is the wastepaper that comes out of the printing press when it starts up and is being tuned.

The artists pages are printed clean. The title pages are done last with all the information printed in gold on top of the wastepaper. The name of the artist, the title of the exhibition etc. Every artist has it's own title page with their resumé and personal information also being printed in gold. The 'trash' and glossy gold combination really fits their style'.
